Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Dunkirk celebrated the feast of  St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, 3 October 2008.  St. Francis of  Assisi is the patron saint of animals.  Father David Bellittiere presided over the blessing of the animals at the church by the statue of St. Francis of Assisi.    After the blessing, each participant received a St. Francis’ medal for their pet.  For more information on Holy Trinity Catholic Church and St. Francis of Assisi,  please call 366.2306.
